Meet the Director - Michalla Hinson

The Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to officially welcome Michalla Hinson as our new Executive Director.

Michalla may already be a familiar face to many of our members. Over the past year, she has served as the Assistant to the Executive Director, working primarily behind the scenes in a part-time capacity. During that time, she helped support daily operations, communications, and events—all while dedicating the other half of her time at home raising her toddler. Her experience in that role has given her a strong understanding of the Chamber’s mission, programs, and membership.

Michalla Hinson | Executive Director

With lifelong ties to Sullivan, Michalla has a deep appreciation for the small businesses that help shape our community. As the granddaughter of the owners of Jerry’s TV, she grew up seeing firsthand the dedication and heart it takes to run a local business. That foundation sparked her passion for supporting entrepreneurs and making a lasting difference in the town that helped raise her.

She looks forward to playing a larger role in our annual events and is especially excited to connect and build strong relationships with the people who make Sullivan such a special place. From community celebrations to networking opportunities, Michalla is eager to step forward in this leadership role and continue strengthening the Chamber’s impact.

When she’s not in the office, you can find her spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, and chasing her toddler around. Her love for family and community runs deep, and she is passionate about helping create a thriving environment for future generations.
