Next up in our Meet the Chamber series is Rachel Thomure—a longtime healthcare leader, small business owner, and dedicated advocate for the Sullivan community. Rachel brings a unique blend of compassion, experience, and local pride to the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce Board for 2025.

Rachel Thomure has been a dedicated employee at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for 26 years, serving her community with professionalism, compassion, and a strong work ethic. In addition to her longstanding healthcare career, Rachel is also the co-owner of Thomure Lumber and Home Center alongside her husband, Nick Thomure. Balancing both roles with grace, she exemplifies commitment to both community health and local business. Her deep ties to the area and passion for serving others make her a valued leader and a trusted presence in Sullivan.


Rachel Thomure, dedicated team member for over 25 years currently serves as Specialty Practice Manager, Orthopedic and Provider Services Manager at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. She helps improve healthcare every day in the small town she loves through her compassionate leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence. With a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Fontbonne University, Rachel brings both expertise and heart to her role, ensuring that physician operations run smoothly and that patients receive the highest quality of care. Her deep roots in the community drive her to continuously seek ways to enhance services, support medical staff, and foster a culture of collaboration. Through her efforts, Rachel plays a vital role in strengthening the local healthcare system and enriching the lives of those she serves.


For Rachel, owning a small business is more than just a livelihood—it’s a way to give back to the community she deeply values. She believes that small businesses are the backbone of local economies, providing personalized service, creating jobs, and fostering strong relationships among neighbors. Rachel takes great pride in contributing to Sullivan’s growth and character through her business, and she is passionate about supporting other local entrepreneurs who share her commitment to community and quality.


Rachel Thomure serves as the president of Sports Boosters, a role that reflects her deep passion for supporting youth sports and the positive impact they have on young people’s lives. She believes that athletics teach valuable life skills like teamwork, discipline, and confidence, and she works tirelessly to ensure local students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed both on and off the field. In addition to her involvement, Rachel is a proud member of Impact 100, a group of dedicated women from Crawford County who come together to raise funds for organizations making a difference in their communities. Her commitment to service and community improvement is evident in all she does.


Rachel Thomure is a proud wife and devoted mother to her three children Kylee, Emma, and Spencer. When she’s not busy with her work or community involvement, Rachel cherishes the simple joys of life, like taking long walks with her dogs, cheering on Ole Miss football in the Grove, and spending relaxing summer weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks. These moments of family, fun, and tradition bring her balance and happiness, fueling her passion for everything she does in both her professional and personal life.
