Meet the Chamber - Michalla Hinson

Michalla joined the Chamber office earlier this year, and her energy, organization, and passion for the community have already made a lasting impact. A proud Sullivan native with deep local roots, she’s a vital part of our team helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

Michalla Hinson | Assistant to the Executive Director

Michalla is a proud Sullivan native, born and raised in the heart of our community. Her family is well known for owning Jerry’s TV, a longtime local business that helped instill in her a deep appreciation for supporting small businesses and the power of a strong local economy. That same passion for Sullivan is what led her to join the Chamber team.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Healthy Lifestyles and Fitness Coaching from Arizona State University. While her education prepared her for a career in health and wellness, her path shifted when she learned she was expecting her first child—leading her to pursue a life that balances meaningful work in the community with being present for her growing family.

Now, Michalla splits her time between her part-time role at the Chamber and being a full-time stay-at-home mom. She plays a vital role behind the scenes—helping plan events, support Chamber members, and manage the day-to-day operations with grace and dedication.

Michalla has a deep-rooted passion for giving back to the community that raised her. She’s driven not only by gratitude for her own upbringing in Sullivan but by a desire to help shape a bright future for her son as he grows up in this same town. Her commitment to making a difference is grounded in both honoring the past and investing in the next generation.

One of Michalla’s most unique life experiences was living in Anchorage, Alaska for two years while her husband served in the U.S. Army. Her favorite part of Alaska? The unforgettable Northern Lights and the surreal experience of endless summer sunlight.

Outside of work, Michalla enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, making spontaneous Target runs with her girlfriends, and soaking up every moment with her toddler as he explores the world around him. She also values quality time with her extended family, often gathering for laughs, support, and shared memories that keep her rooted in the community she loves.
