Happy Friday Members!
We’re kicking off June with gratitude and good vibes! Join us for our FREE Member Appreciation BBQ on Thursday, June 5th, from 12–1 PM on the front lawn of our new Chamber office at 110 W Main St. Enjoy a picnic-style lunch, cold drinks, and lawn games—our way of saying thank you for your continued support and commitment to the Chamber. While you're here, stop inside to view Route 66-themed artwork by Ms. Valarie McEuen’s Sullivan High School art students, proudly displayed in our office all month long!
Last week, we had the sweet pleasure of welcoming Scoopzy’s—Sullivan’s newest ice cream shop and Chamber member—with a ribbon cutting at their Grand Opening! Located at 150 S Service Rd West, next to Bugzy’s and El Nopal, Scoopzy’s is open daily and serving up hand-dipped ice cream, smoothies, in-house fudge, Dubai chocolate, and kettle corn. They’re also offering fundraising opportunities for local organizations—contact shop manager Cailie McNamee at scoopzysllc@gmail.com to learn more.
As we head into the summer season, get ready for a sunny stretch of ribbon cuttings! We’ll be celebrating several new Chamber members who have joined this year. Today at noon, we’ll be at Sullivan Climate Controlled Storage to cut the ribbon on their new facility, managed by Trusted Property Management—we’d love for you to stop by and help us celebrate!
We’re also celebrating the early success of our Sullivan Community Market season! Our two May markets, hosted at Muddy Banks Brewing Co., featured 12 talented vendors and 2 local musicians, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of shoppers. Some vendors even sold out within the first two hours of our last market—thank you for showing up and supporting local! Our only market in June will be held on Saturday, June 14th from 9am-1pm, as we pause for the Meramec Community Fair on the fourth weekend of the month. If you’re interested in joining us as a vendor, spots are just $10 per space, with payment due upon arrival. You’ll find the vendor sign-up link at the bottom of this newsletter. Musicians who’d like to be part of the summer line-up can contact Market Chairperson, Makayla Bequette, at mbbcocs@gmail.com.
