Happy Friday Chamber Members,
We’re thrilled to share that the first Sullivan Community Market of the season was a great success! Thank you to everyone who came out to support our local vendors and enjoy the ambience of our new location at Muddy Banks Brewing Co. We heard wonderful feedback about the shaded seating, live music, array of vendors, and relaxed local atmosphere—exactly the vibe we hoped to create. Some of our vendors even sold out of product!
Mark your calendars: our next market is Friday, May 24th, and we are still accepting vendor applications and local musicians to fill remaining time slots.

Last week on May 7th—exactly one year after a tornado devastated One More Pub & Grub —the chamber and community came together to break ground on what’s next: Meramec Tavern: A Kick Bass Bar, coming soon to 1122 S. Hwy 185 in Sullivan! This new venue will be bigger and better, featuring a full kitchen, games, a spacious patio, and an attached liquor store. The Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the rebuilding efforts and celebrate this exciting fresh start.

Your hard work and perseverance are inspiring, and we can’t wait to see the great things ahead for each of you! A quick reminder that applications for seniors for our Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce Business Visionary Scholarship close this Sunday, May 18th. This scholarship recognizes a graduating senior(s) who shows outstanding promise in entrepreneurship or business management. We’re proud to support the next generation of leaders in building a bright future.
As we wrap up several major events, settle into our new office space, and train our newest team member, we sincerely appreciate your patience—especially from our new members who joined in recent months. We’re working through our welcome list and are excited for a summer full of ribbon cuttings, including one for the Chamber itself (details coming soon!).
